- Pre-register every passenger. As of 2026, all boat passengers must pre-register: send a passport copy showing the photo, plus full name, nationality, and passport number, to the boat host at least one day before departure. Passport details alone are no longer enough, and entry can be denied without this.
- Board and settle park fees. The crew collects park fees in advance; you typically reimburse in IDR cash on arrival. Every visitor must hold a valid entrance ticket before entering.
What should you know before you message?

All treks on Komodo and Rinca Islands must be led by a certified ranger; independent walking is not allowed.
